Dr. Maranda Gaines, MD
Embodied, relational, and integrative spaces for individuals and organizations seeking grounded, creative, and meaningful support.
About me
After a decade of training and working in a career in conventional medicine, I walked away to pursue a more vibrant, peaceful, and fulfilling practice and life. Now as a holistic medical doctor, herbalist, and movement teacher, my work is in re-imagining and building spaces and systems for us all to rest, heal, love, and be courageously ourselves together.
Offerings
Embodied Care
These sessions are private and personalized care for individuals, groups, and organizations. I blend somatic work, guided inquiry, integrative and herbal support to foster reconnection, clarity, and grounding.
Consulting
My work centers reimagining and designing care models that are more sustainable, relational, and beautiful. I leverage my background as a medical doctor in a large health system, my work as a qualitative researcher and health equity strategist, and immersive studies in community-rooted healing spaces to build collaborative spaces and platforms that bridge medicine, culture, and embodied care. I’m interested in creative, community-rooted, and ethically aligned collaborations across women’s health, community health, narrative medicine, and care design.
Education
I create workshops and series designed to blend conventional medicine knowledge with holistic and integrative philosophy and wisdom. Areas include nervous system regulation and support, hormone balance, burnout and disconnect recovery, and sustainability in highly demanding lifestyles.
